According to Lauryn Hill 'Hip Hop started out in the heart' and Speakershoe started out in a very similar place. Since September 2006 Speakershoe have received an overwhelmingly positive response every time they play. Combining gypsy funk guitar with beatboxing, soulful vocals and poetic lyrics they are certainly keeping it fresh! With a plentifull amount of great tracks ready to be recorded a Speakershoe album will be available at the end of the year keep your eyes and ears out and be ever ready to 'Spread the love' !

Read a review of our gig at Farmfest 07 written by the lovely Gav: "I caught the last 15 minutes of the excellent Speakershoe. A two piece hailing from London who play white funk/folk guitar over clever beatboxing and the ethereal voice of Sabirajade. With one of the best voices I've heard live, Sabirajade had the packed acoustic tent eating out of her hand and 'What is This' wrapped the whole tent in a warm glow. I am sure the lyrics were very well crafted and poignant but with a voice like that she could've been singing off a tax return form or listing facts about rugby and I really wouldn't have cared. Her Lauryn Hill-esque voice against the perfectly placed backdrop of Sam Altys' guitaring and verbal drum machine capabilities seemed to stop time in this brilliant spine tingling set."
