Touch Me I'm Sick

About Me

Iggy @ ATP 12/06 Photo courtesy of Daz Tazer

I'm a bi-monthly scuzz rock night for those with twinkling eyes, dancing feet & a head for noise. Inspired by and a type of homage to ATP The Nightmare Before Christmas 2006. The few that were there, although it seemed like half of Manchester at times, realised just what had taken shape. The future was loud and violently sick on drugs. God Bless Thurston Moore...

And..... We don't know about you but, we have hated going to band nights in the past few years and seeing four shit, desperate acts surrounded by chin-stroking mates and musos. We've had enough of live music for the sake of it. It makes our arses weep. So..... Our ethos is one quality band completely off the leash, followed by the best scuzzy, dirty rock and roll to shake your hips to for the rest of the evening. And, cheap booze. Dress up, dress down. We don't care. Just don't stand there and pout, or you'll get a thick ear.

THANK YOU to all those that came and made it such a good night on the May Bank Holiday. Particularly Stray Dog Cafe for doin' a beltin' set at such short notice, The Maccabees for turning up and distracting all the young ladies, everyone that came down after we'd spoken to them at Sounds From The Other City, and that band from Detroit that I always meet in Big Hands who aren't afraid to shake their bums and always make decent requests. The spirit of ATP was well and truely evoked. Thanks again.

THANK YOU! To everyone that made this one such a memorable night. Not least to Action Beat, who's set made Kate nearly do a sex wee. A massive sound with three drummers, Warren G chants, tops off, dancing around a bass, throwing drums between themselves, and a girl on guitar who said afterwards "I've never played guitar before" Classic TMIS. People, particularly the young, wept openly. If you missed it you should be ashamed of yourself.
