They Face Reaction

About Me

They Face Reaction has been around since the beginning of 2006 and was originally found in the City of Curitiba in Brazil. When singer/guitar-strummer Pedro Prosdocimo a.k.a. Greeps came back from the experience of living and playing as a guest in a punk rock band in Europe in the end of 2005 he took a little time to assimilate the experience. After shaking the dust off he took a few remaining songs from his then dead local Curitiba hardcore punk band Citizen Caged and metamorphosed them into a not so fast, more angular but pop at the same time consistency. He then knew that a new outfit had to be created. When his cousin Ren Volpi, a post-hardcore singer/guitar player veteran as well, came back from California they named it They Face Reaction and completed the 4 piece with local scene's band-mates adding some of Ren's actual compositions to the set. After a year and a half of independent material release and small touring they reached the maximum level of recognition they could ever expect from their home country audience. The small success back home have inspired for a big decision of relocating to U.S. Chicago IL ended up being the chosen scene for these punk rock enthusiasts to start over in 2008. Now the band has recently been re-based and had the honor of Chicagoan members Tyler Eckhart and David Perrin joining respectively on the positions of drums and bass guitar players. Their first performances together start this summer in Chicago and they have never been so excited.
