About Me
John 3:16 says, "For GOD so loved the world, that HE gave His only begotten SON, that whosoever believeth in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life."
A very familiar verse of scripture, but what is being said? God gave Jesus so that whosoever BELIEVETH in HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life. So, let's see what JESUS said about salvation.Luke 13:3 "I tell you Nay: except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish."
YOU MUST REPENT!Repent DOES NOT mean apologize, or say I'm sorry. It means to acknowledge the fact that you have sinned against GOD, and to stop willingly sinning. To turn away from the things that GOD does not approve of.John 3:5 "Verily, verily I say unto thee, Except a man be born of WATER and of the SPIRIT, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God."This verse is speaking of two different BAPTISMS. It is necessary that a man be baptized in water as well as receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.Mark 16:16 "He that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."First lets get an understanding of the word baptize. Baptize comes from the greek word baptizo which means "to immerse in a body of water." Sprinkling IS NOT BIBLICAL baptism.Second, baptism MUST be done in the name of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Acts 4:12 "Neither is their salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved."Now, there are certain denominations and church groups who in the spirit of err baptize in "the name of the father, the son, and the holy ghost."A few quick points on that issue. The word name is a singular noun, referring to a proper noun. Father is not a name, but a title that many men carry, the same is also true for Son.There are four instances of actual baptisms occuring after the death of Jesus. Let's see how THE WORD depicts these actual events.Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."
Acts 2:41 "They that gladly recieved his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls."Acts 8:16 "(For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of The Lord Jesus.)"Acts 10:48 "And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days."Acts 19:5 "When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus."Don't allow anyone to tell you it doesn't matter! It does because once again as the Bible says in Acts 4:12 "there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we MUST be saved."Concerning the baptism of the HOLY GHOST, this is what the BIBLE has to say.Acts 2:4 "And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance."Speaking in tongues was the initial sign of the infilling of the Holy Ghost at the day of Pentecost. There are also spiritual gifts that will come as indication that you have been filled with the Holy Ghost. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 12. There is also what is called the fruit of the spirit. Read Galatians 5:22-23. But thruthfully speaking, when you get the Holy Ghost you will know it beyond a shadow of a doubt.Repent, be Baptized in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, and ask God to fill you with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost, that you may be edified and sanctified through his keeping power.If u have any questions don't hesitate to send me a message. Jesus is soon to return, today is the day of salvation!May GOD bless and keep you in JESUS mighty name.r{}.r{}
