I'm an old hippie who still believes in peace and who believes that there's always a better way to settle our disputes than waging war and killing our fellow human beings. I play acoustic guitar and mandolin and love playing folk/world music with my wife and friends. Gettin' paid for it when I can ain't bad, either. For what it's worth, I'm a full time wheelchair user as the result of PPS (Post Polio Sequelae, or the late effects of poliomyelitis)and complications from a motorcycle accident I had in '78. I had polio in 1957 and made what was considered an almost complete recovery(complete enough to serve in the military). We now know there's really no such thing as a complete recovery from polio, just varying degrees. I'm as active as my body will allow which is pretty active most days. Whenever I get the opportunity I advocate for disability rights and Universal Design . I am also: A radical organic foodie, holistic, vegetarian, pro-hemp, pro-medical marijuana. Jewish and Torah-compliant (don't try to "convert" me, ok?). Military veteran (as mentioned above). Anti-war.Regarding war: We won't end war by continuing to engage in warfare. We'll end war when people refuse to take up arms against one another. It's really that simple and we'll accomplish that by education and learning mutual respect for one another, not killing each other because we're different. Yeah, I really believe that.Overall, I'm pretty laid back, but I don't have time for angry, mean-spirited, people. Passion is good and passionate people change the world, but chronic anger just tears things down. If you're angry about injustice and passionate to make changes, cool. If you're just pissed in general, not cool. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out what I'm getting at, right? No haters.
