sOMbOM (a brief history)
sOMbOM is a club friendly, electronic music, digital only label and was conceived by Acid Casuals in early 2009.
In 2006, Acid Casuals embark on the launch of their club night sOMbOM in Cardiff, leading to an end of year party with Claude VonStroke.They also start their two year long monthly residency at BBC Radio Wales where as well as their choice flavours of techno and house music, they featured label nights, the likes of which included Raum, Pokerflat, Connaisseur, Minus, Kaliber, Made to Play etc.
2007 sees sOMbOM's first Birthday party at Cardiff’s infamous Coal exchange with Green Velvet, Alex Smoke and Jamie Jones making up the line up.sOMbOM continues to organise events throughout the year bringing together SFA and Weatherall for a party at London's Corsica Studios as part of their U.K tour.
In 2008, sOMbOM continues to bring guests to Cardiff including the likes of Craig Richards, Agoria, Silicone Soul, etc.As well as Acid Casuals’ residency at London’s Corsica studios, with plays along side Daniel Bell, Phonique, Derrick Carter, Matthias Tanzmann, Octave One and more before taking time out to write new material for Acid Casuals.
Following (successful) releases in the past with NOVAMUTE and BELOW, 2009 will see the latest Casuals compositions released on their newly conceived sOMbOM label, to be hosted, featured and promoted on sOMbOM.eu , here you will also find a new 24hr radio channel and a 'gratis' page, where you can exclusively download free tracks, soundscapes ,DJ tools’ and visual art.join the sOMbOM mailing list :: ymunwch a rhestr bostio sOMbOM yma
