Anthony Njoku, a.k.a. “T.O.N.E.”, a native of new jersey was born in the early month of January 1983. Due to his steady moving from home to home as a youngster, T.O.N.E. grew an eclectic interest for music. In spring 97’, for a middle school talent show, T.O.N.E. wrote his first rhyme and was addicted to MC’n from that day on. Battling between education, athletic aspirations and hardships as a young adult, T.O.N.E. struggled with sheer life decisions. Pursuing a career in entertainment, T.O.N.E. attended Virginia State University for a short-lived time (01‘-03‘) studying Mass Communications, realizing the college atmosphere was not for him at that point in his life. In his trip back home to Jersey , T.O.N.E. decided after years of off and on inconsistencies with his life as an Mc, he would make music his long term goal, as well as hobby. Through many name changes and discussion of the appropriate stage name fitting such a versatile artist packed with compelling lyrics, innumerable flows and an expressive but pleasant disposition on and off trax, “T.O.N.E.” chose this name for himself after a conversation with one of his peers where he stated, “Talented Ones Naturally Excel…” consequently, creating the name/phrase “T.O.N.E.” Quickly getting hold of his craft, T.O.N.E. worked with up and coming producers and artist like himself as well as some of the best flow spittaz’ from around his way. Blessing u with his witty word play and bright but silky vocals, T.O.N.E. will charm the human ear in more ways than one. His style is exclusively like few you’ve ever heard b4 and was well exhibited in 05’ when T.O.N.E debuted his first mixtape entitled “Da DoLLA BiLL”. Since then, T.O.N.E. has undertaken other skills to assemble his artistry such as, beat making and (R & B) song writing. Now, gearing towards forming his first album, working with fellow artist/songwriter/beat maker & producer, Goon Goon Get’Em, T.O.N.E. intends to illustrate his growth and determination as an individual and artiste.
