Dj Rubio has got the salseros of Tampere (and the rest of Finland) dancing to his records since 2002. His set is a mixture of fresh and fiery timba, soulful salsa, traditional son, rough reggaeton and proper amount of other rhythms spicing up the set. When playing he always tries to read his audience to be able to select the right music for prevailing ambience. Rubio's most important selection criteria for music is the mood of the music and it's danceability.
Dj Rubio's playing is familiar to a wide audience of salsa dancers. He's been deejaying in concerts (Azúcar Negra, Charanga Habanera, Los Van Van, Elio Revé, Yoskar Sarante), festivals (Tampere International Salsa Festival, Salsa Rico Festival) and dozens of other salsa happenings and clubs in various cities (CubAid, Club Urban Latino, Club Sauna Caliente, Salsasavotta, Fiesta en Häme, Summer salsas, Latin Caribbean Fest, Laterna, Teerenpeli, CampariClub, Tabu, Esperanza, Päiväkoti, Ruumishuone, Fever, etc.).
