Howdy! Ya know, yesterday I had this space filled out nicely then hit the wrong button and wham-PFFT...disappeared like smoke..so..here I go again,wish me luck! My name is Mel, I;m a bearish kinda guy. I'm also a Bishop in the Old Catholic/Independent Catholic Movement. I'm also a life professed Franciscan,and yes, I'm openly gay. I have a wide range of interests...music,singing,spirituality,philosophy,psychology ,languages,etc.. I'm an avid reader, love celtic traditional and folk music,play around with a few languages speak non fluently except english of course, and also sign language. Now before you send me flaming mail I can only open with asbestos gloves, Let me say this and I ask you to think on these words...I learned this truth..actually truths.. 1, God made me just as I am sexuality intact. God does not make junk.. therefore I am not junk. Period. I believe that with all my heart and soul and no one's lies can alter that for me. 2nd, Religion, is man made it's a human and fallible contraption, spirituality and faith are gifts from God (talents if you will) to be used to better us and those around us.Now having said all that..(whew) lets get back to our regularly scheduled blurb about me..LOL I love to make people smile and laugh with either my oddball/slapstick sense of humor,or a silly smile or grin. I love to sing,have sung in a few gay mens choruses Cleveland Oh. and Pittsburgh,Pa. Not to mention tons of church choirs..I love to cook,hmm.. as well as eat..true.. :-) I also like to treat this life as a wonderful God given ride,where I meet people friends and lovers along the way. I work in retail(ugh), to support myself and my ministry, and read a lot..mainly either historical fiction, Morgan Llewellyn, or fantasy, Mercedes Lackey,Josepha Sherman.Well everyone I'm running outta steam here for things witty and inane to say so I'll just exit as gracefully as I can,and let you decide If I'm the type of friend for you.
