Dj and Samplewizard...here's my way:...I was born in 1974 in the heart of germanys mine workers capitol. The people here call it the "Ruhrpott"! I grew up at this melting pot, which was a unique life education.At the age of four, i noticed my first touch by exceptional artwork - my father turned up the 'Moonflower' lp from 'Santana'! Since then, rhythms and deepness influenced my musical perception.
My second contact with art induced my to become an active artist. It happened in the mid 80s. I walked arround with 'Run Dmc' in my walkman-headphones and i discovered the first Graffiti-piece in my hometown Gelsenkirchen. Fascinated by that big lime green muralburner, i organized some spraycans and started to write on concrete for the first years. At the age of 15, Graffiti became a big part of my life and i met my first close friends Maik and Fritz and we started our crew "DRK". we did a lot of outdoorsessions during the nights and we ended up as overtired Zombies at school in the morning. At the same time i met another overtired Zombie at school. He was a dj and played sessions at a famous club. His name was Dj 'Funky-Fresh'. His real name was Phil Fuldner an he must have been germanys youngest dj at that time. He introduced me to the electronic music world, wich was very fascinating.
My time at school was horror, but studying Design at the University was my best time and tourned me into a professional qualified Designer. In 2001, i graduated from the University with a Diploma in Design. I focused on Photography and Illustration combining analoque with digital techniques. My first offer, was to work as photojournalist. I had my first fulltime job! I shot personality series from music artist like Westbam or Basement Jaxx and i realized fashion shootings on demand. I had jobs on location all over Europe and i took photos in various photostudios between Paris and here in Germany. Since 2003, I am working for the fine art business, with focus on publishing my photographic and illustrated artwork. Over 100.000 prints were published from my designs and sold worldwide, until now.
