About Me
BIOGRAPHY:
In 1987 DEMISE WAS FORMED!!
The sounds being created were as raw as can ever be, a fast aggressive fast sound with zero metal influence, guitar that ripped, and deep screeching vocals, along with a fast paced short song attitude. Lyrics were about ; escaping the selfish ills on mankind, pollution, lame laws created by communist thoughts, capital punishment, and so forth. Lyrics created were not as a typical liberal viewpoint towards government, but just pure independent viewpoints expressed through HARDCORE the way it used to be. Demise was ready for the studio.
Later Demise would go on to play all around the Hollywood area, East LA,South Central,San Fernando Valley. And San Clemente & other areas in Orange County. At a studio in Sunland California, Jim Pica from Full On Sound helped mix & master the debut 10" splattered colored vinyl produced by Demise on Core Only Records. More response and recognition was apparent for the band at this time, and the band was playing even more gigs.
After the first record was pressed, Off The Disk Records, agreed to put out the "Furnace of Tension" EP by Demise, which had 5 songs re-mixed from the debut 10 inch record. Demise also had a live flexi disk pressed, recorded from a live show in Calabasas California, from Premature Entombment Productions out of Colorado. Off The Disk was already involved with the pressing of "Cruel Reality" twelve inch white vinyl, the last studio recordings made. The record features a dead Iraqi citizen bloodied and shot numerous times in a car, on the front cover, also with a song entitled "Crisis" about the Gulf War. Friends of the band had served their country, this song was dedicated to them. "An American Release" seven inch (Core Only Records) is the U.S. version of "Cruel Reality", only 500 pressed, with limited distribution.
Demise since then had a couple of live shows including a show with Bolt Thrower and a Grind-Fest show at Gazzarri's in Hollywood , Ca. (Gazzarris last show ever). Demise was soon meeeting their demise and the band then broke up in the spring of '92.-- Probably due to the fact that the grunge and pop punk scene was making all the band sick, and didn't want to be associated with such lame acts....... it was the end of an era. Demise ..DEAD but not yet BURIED, who knows if they will play again???
