About Me
Me, not much to say. I have been through a few doors in my time and I know there's a lot more for me to enter and pass through and that's the mystery and magic of living. For now my passion is music and, through my own efforts, it is opening up a door to myself and a link to the beauty and creation of others. I have been learning guitar for a year now. Best thing I have ever done. I have performed a bit at Bar-me Woojam which has been wonderful, love the people there, Ado and Holly and the rest. It's lots of fun and very supportive of the baby performer finding their legs and voice. I have written 4 songs and more shall follow. At the moment I am concentrating on learning from the greats. Which are, in my opinion, John Lennon, The Doors, Led Zeppelin, George Harrison, David Bowie, Krissy Hind, Jeff Buckley, Roy Orbison, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, Peggy Lee, Henry Mancini, Harry Nilson, Supertramp, John Denver, Kate Bush, The Drifters, the Platters and there's others, lots of others.I busk around the city sometimes, more as a way to practice than make money - but if money comes my way I am always grateful. My ambition is to keep getting better at playing,singing,and performing. Record a C.D. with my songs and some favourite covers and perform. Even though I get really nervous I love performing it's where I experience my greatest highs (and a few lows, but lows, even though they don't feel too good, you really learn from them and they reveal so much to you about you) anyway it's great to share the highs and lows with others. So life is good and I love the musical journey it is taking me on.I am just so pleased that I have finally found something I really love doing and it's great building a skill with your own hands. I am building a musical house - it's very simple. Just a pretty little shack in the bush by the water, simple, pretty, and basic. The musical floorboards I put under my voice support my voice and let me find my voice and my songs. That's how I like to look at it.
