The Desperate Measures

About Me

It's been a long and winding road for the Desperate Measures, filled with ups and downs. They would have it no other way. Band members, girlfriends, crushes, and myspace friends have come and gone, but one thing has remained the same: the love for the music and belief in it.
The story of the band begins back in 2005, when Steve borrowed his dad's bass and began teaching himself how to play by figuring out the bass lines to the Clash's "London Calling". Soon after, he began writing his own songs, and learning to actually play some tunes that had been stuck in his head for years.
Listening to the songs recorded on his cell phone, and spurred on by his good friend Dustin, Steve would look to start an actual band to play these songs. It took a while, but finally the Desperate Measures have a full band line-up. Currently, they are focusing on getting the songs down tight and preparing for a 3 song demo and a 6 song EP. The demo is scheduled to be finished at the end of January, 2008.
It has been a long and arduous journey to get this far, but the Desperate Measures know that they are still far, far away from their ultimate goal. No one ever said it would be easy, but the guys in the band know that it will be worth it.
