Krystale Music

Krystale is an 18 year old singer/song-writer with an old soul and a love for rock n’ roll. The inspiration she gets in writing her songs comes from everyday life situations, dreams, books and movies. It doesn't take much for her to get an idea and start strumming on her acoustic guitar to find chords and a melody. Her lyrics are honest, wise and she refuses to write the typical love song, but approaches simple topics everyone can relate to in a less obvious and a more metaphorical way.
As a young child, she'd effortlessly hum along to songs from the radio even before she could actually speak. Growing up, blasting from the stereo in her house would be a mosaic of different music genres thanks to her mother's Dominican roots and her father's crazy musical tastes. Merengue, salsa, dance, rock n' roll and metal are all different styles that her parents introduced into her life. She recalls numerous car rides with her father where Metallica's "Wherever I May Roam" played over and over. Both her parents are musicians. While her mother plays bass and father plays drums, her first experience in playing with a band was at the age of 12. Along the years, she has been interested in listening to different genres of music and has become heavily influenced by blues, soul and jazz singers such as Billie Holiday, Janis Joplin and Amy Winehouse.
On September 9th 2007, she got her first opportunity to perform her debut album at Theatre Marcellin-Champagnant to a full house of fans. She has been performing in high schools, talents shows and anywhere else an opportunity allows her to perform.
On June 24th, 2009, Krystale will open for Michel Pagliaro in front of 10,000 people for “La fête de St. Jean” in the Laurentians. Recently, she contributed to an Africa Mission fundraiser show by performing 2 nights and raising over $10,000 to help those who are in the need. She has performed several times live with her band on CTV's Telethon of the Stars.

Her album FACTOR funded, is being produced by Tino Izzo whose credits include writing the world class hit, “World To Believe In” for Celine Dion and Una Ito from Japan .Krystale is determined and motivated that one day she will be able to share her words and music with the world..
