About Me

Davidica Little Spotted Horse:
A newcomer to the music world, Davidica has taken Indian Country by storm. She already has airplay at various Native stations in the United States and in Canada. Davidica has been the featured artist of the week on Native America Calling. With her poignant voice and truly personal lyrics she connects with audiences in a very moving way. Davidica’s first album “My Heart Speaks” does exactly that, using rock rhythms to bring out stories with lyrics that only music can convey. A multi-talented dynamo, she is already a well known photographer, whose photographs are on display in the Smithsonian at NMAI DC.
My name is Davidica Little Spotted Horse.
I am a singer/songwriter from the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. If I had to describe my lyrics in three words it would be, "heartfelt, personal, and passionate." My songs are about love, loss, hope, and happiness. I believe these are issues that not only natives deal with but all human beings deals with. My songs are my connection to my inner self. I just happen to be native, but more than anything I am a human. So I humbly give all my songs to humanity no matter what your race because we can all relate to the human condition... life. I've always had a dream I would leave something behind to make my mark in history for my future decendants. My music is my gift to them. My children are my biggest supporters and the reason I went ahead and recorded this album. I cherish my children, my extended family and my friends everyday. Pilamiya.
