Unarmed for Victory, formerly known as Ghostbox, comes out of the recess of Miami, Florida, specifically from the "mean streets" of Kendall. The metalcore band -- Aaron, Phil, Robert, Luis and Danny -- have come together to bring forth new sounds and unique ideas to the forefront of the local scene. Definitely not new to the local scene, they've earned the respect of their peers and of other bands, many of which they have been fans of and have played with. The list goes as far as to include the like of Unwanted Superheroes, kill.jAsper, Rawvia, These Arms of Faith, Relax! It's a Massacre, Emarosa, Evidence of Fire, Fall of a Hero, The Waking Life, 200 Proof, Obscene Experiements and On the Verge of Red.
Looking in from the outside, UFV seemingly takes to music as they take to life: randomly. However, there is method to their madness as they veer away from music theory every once in a while, only to find something new and exciting to bring back. Their use of classical instruments in certain tracks brings a unique sound not heard in conventional screamo or metalcore.
