The real biography:
The party got rolling in 2001 when Robert Beezle and Calvin Dempsey met while on assignment in the Canadian territory of Nunavut. They immediately bonded over a mutual love of suburban youth soccer and hard drugs. After many coke-fueled nights of partying with local Inuit seal hunters, the pair had composed 16 songs, rich in influence from their favorite country stars: Red Sovine, Johnny Cash and Crystal Gale. When back in the states, they recruited the likes of Ernest T, Jesse Sexual and Aurora Pondsurge Moonbeam and tracked their songs directly to wax and world famous Great White Studios in the sun-soaked Mojave dessert.
The fake biography:
The 'Burban Shotgun Party has it's genesis many years ago in the small Maryland town of Christie. Situated on the Chesapeake Bay, hours from civilization, Robert Beezle and Calvin Dempsey grew up together. Along with an assorted band of outcasts, they started their first band... a death metal band called Army of Dragons, in the 4th grade. As the two grew, their tastes matured. In high school they discovered Hip-Hip (an early rural form of Hip-Hop) and started the first east coast Rap-Metal band. They called themselves The Beat Dragons. That band lasted about 2 years, during which they found themselves touring the nation and signed to Capitol Records. When one of their live shows in Lawrence, Kansas, lead to the rioting deaths of 3 teenage girls, they decided to hang it up. They went their seperate ways for many years. A few years ago, while attending their grade school reuinion, they reunited on stage to perform Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight." The reaction was so great, they decided to start doing music again... but this time, it was to be mellow and non-riot-inducing. They figured no one gets stomped while listening to country music... so, lo and behold, the 'Burban Shotgun Party was born.
