About Me

Hi, kids... it's me! I am a frustrated writer whose day job is being a college professor of arts administration and a grant writer/consultant for non-profit arts organizations. For fun, I write for the WebZines The Two Cents "A Pop Culture Site for Everyone!" and Pink Raygun "News, Reviews, and Interviews for Fangirls... and Boys" [the latter giving me me a legitimate excuse to rewatch anything by Joss Whedon... like I need an excuse]. I hope to one day renovate an old theatre somewhere and turn it into an art house cinema joint [anyone want to be an investor?].
I have a BA in Theatre & Media Arts and an MFA in Arts Administration. I enjoy movies, writing, photography, using my label-maker, guacamole, and the Oxford Comma. I have been married for eight years to a Zombie Cinema expert who enjoys the occasional Lego, and have been the mother to a precocious 4-year-old boy for, you guessed it, 4 years. A cute little girly-girl joined our family last January. I must say, it turned out much better for me than it did for Ripley.

How 'bout Zach Braff, Jenna Fischer, Sarah McLachlan, and Ellen DeGeneres. What a great dinner party that would be! Oh, and Eddie Izzard - sexiest man in a dress. "Were you surprised?...
