Urban is a Hip Hop Dance team at the University of California: Santa Barbara. In its 16th year, Urban was created in order to bring a modern aspect of dance to its annual Pilipino Cultural Night (PCN). Originating from the Filipino club on campus, Kapatirang Pilipino, Urban has grown to become a diverse team, in both ethnicities and dance styles. No longer limited to its PCN performance, Urban has expanded, performing at various events including San Luis Obispo's Annual Lantern Festival and UCSB Kapatirang Pilipino's Showcase.
23 strong, the dancers strive to promote the hip hop culture, as well as their love for dance.
