Since the moment that my bestfriend gave me my first black interest romance novel, i haven't been able to stop reading them. It soon became an obsession when i first read Rochelle Allers' novel "VOWS" i have never been entranced in a book the way i was captivated by Rochelles'. That was when i was 13. I'm older now and i can't count the number of romance novels that i have read. I wanted to explore other kinds of romance novels so i started to read Historical romance, Johanna Lindsey, Mills and Boons, Brenda Jackson, indigo romance and a whole lot more. Till this day i believe that the reason i became so gripped by romance novels was because it helped me to escape the problems in my life. I forgot about everything and everyone, it was as though it was just me and the characters, obviously i was the lady being romanced (lol). Romance novels are not the only books i read, but it's my prefernce. Now i'm aspiring to become a romance author. I've startd to write a novel and I've been putting my heart and soul into this project, so that one day others will be able to lose themselves in another world, one were theres danger, excitement, tears and joy,laughter and sorrow, the way i did when i read those other novels. I am not an experienced writer, but i hope that one day soon some one will give me a chance because i will grab that chance with both hands.
