I wrote something really prolific here, but Myspace's ever-so-impressive technical support managed to lose it all. And rather than try to re-write it I'll just tell you what I learned while trying to write about myself. I don't know who I am, I don't think anyone really does. I know what the experiences in my past have taught me to be and for a long time I thought those qualities were what made up "Jenn". But if I had I grown up in a different country or with a different family, I can't say that all the same things would be important to me or that I'd fill my About Me: out witht the same qualities. In reality it's life and circumstance that makes us who we are, and life changes constantly. Someone who always thought of themselves as cheerfully optimistic might lose everything in a fire and I think then they would have to have some doubts. It's only natural. On the other hand someone who considers themselves a sensible realist might one day win the lottery and find themselves believing in hope. And more personally, someone who has always been a determined go-getter might be faced with a challenge completely out of their own control and find themselves learning the value of patience.MySpace Layouts
