I’m interested in: being witty, love, mania, living life without the aid of diacetylmorphine hydrochloride, god, shifting tides and anti-lock brakes, laughter, carrot juice, good coffee, sense of family, blasphemy for blasphemy’s sake, cornbread, the rise and fall of the Roman empire, Chuck Taylor, using a lot of commas when I'm not supposed to, fragmented sentences I didn't consider revising, and acceptance.
I can't think of any obscure bands to put here to look cool, sorry. I listen to what "They" make me. Bob Dylan and Blue October live in my glove compartment for insurance purposes.
Miles Davis before bed
, New Order in the morning. Mindless Self Indulgence for a snack. Something/anything I can bang/nod/fuck my head with. Supermarket Muzac is always nice. Crickets chirping. Frogs croaking. Women moaning. I listen to anything that let's me escape from me.
Movies are like books you read; only, someone else read it and put the pictures they saw in their head onto film for you. I like movies. Compiling a list of movies that I like is tedious and somewhat segregating. I tend to be more attracted to dialogue and direction, as opposed to explosions, blood, and penetration. Independent movies are probably my favorite, although who doesn’t like a big blockbuster now and again? I will say this: If you have ever seen the movie Box of Moonlight please get a hold of me, we need to talk.
Having directed six episodes of The Greatest American Hero and successfully ruining the career of William Katt, I’ve been asked to never watch or talk about television by every Jew in Hollywood. I’m here to say that William Katt’s cocaine addiction and subsequent murder spree was not a result of my directorial debacles, but rather his conversion to Scientology. Furthermore, I want the industry to know that I’m watching HBO and other assorted networks series via the internet... Plotting and scheming. I’m back!
My daily reading consists of blogs, emails, and the newspaper. I remember a time when I always had a book to read and was always reading a book. That was a time when the word “terrorism†wasn’t used so much. Not that my lack of reading has anything to do with terrorism, it’s just a time-table thing. I will read anything Chuck Palahniuk writes. I’m also quite fond of some dead folks and the shit they’ve written. If you have any suggestions I’m all ears... or eyes rather. Books are great; I should read more of them. I'm not all that well-read, but I plan on rectifying that in a matter of moments.
