Myspace BackgroundsSo now I've gotta put up with Fall then Winter. Some things that are good about Fall; Football, cozy fires, and....... ah, I can't think of anything else. I'm a warm-climate gal, but love a rainy day too. The cold is just not for me. I'm an artist; paint on canvas with oil and palette/knife, metal and cloth sculpture, and soft, paper sculpture. For the real paycheck, I manage a picture framing shop for a local art gallery. I love it!
I have been single now for as long as I was married, 20 years and it's hard to believe. Lost my love of 9 years to heart problems last year, I still struggle with this at times. For the most part I am fun-loving and content. I am so not on myspace to find a date or a relationship. I am here to meet interesting people and get closer to some of my favorite authors and singing stars. Also to check out my son's blog (ha ha, sorry about that Oliver).
I am a child of the 60's; wore the granny gowns, love beads, water-buffalo sandals and flowers in my hair. (Sometimes I still do). Marched in moratoriums, tye-dyed shirts, fondued! And I even remember most of it.
I have two wonderful children & 3 perfect grandchildren. Two sister kitties, a 55 gallon tropical fish tank with a bitch of an angle fish, 2 Zebra finches; Mason and Dixie and a backyard full of wild birds that are eating me out of house and home.
My favorite things to do are cooking for my friends, gardening on my patio, boating on Lake Keowee, walking on any beach, love the mountains too, picnics, pro football (go Panthers & Cowboys), NASCAR, and Mexico!
I've been divorced for 20 years and was in a relationship for 9 years, then he was gone. Makes me sad but also to appreciate every day that we have with our loved ones. So now I'm just out here trying to make new friends and heal.
So that's me.... and I like me.
