I've been singing since the age of 7. Encouraged by R&B music my mother used to play in the house and in the car. At the age of 10 I began to write lyrics to other people's beats using their same melodies. Throughout the years I developed a distinct sound; one that branched off the artist and hit writers of the early 90's. A sound of real rhythm and blues. Songs with pain, love, happiness and the true ups & downs of life. As life got harder for me the music got better. Despite all the problems I've been through in my personal life the best of me always comes to the front. I signed my first record deal in 2001 to A&M/Interscope records. I received my first platinum plaque from Keyshia Cole for the performace of the duet Super Star on her first album and for performing on her first tour. Being raised on good music lead me to become such a great writer as well as an artist. I have co written songs with Rick Ross, Young Joc, Triple C's, Naughty by nature. Written and arranged songs with Sean Garret, Masspike Miles, Keri Hilson, Chink Santana. I have worked with some of the best in the business today.
