Coming in 2009: Digital EP Volume One
Coming in 2010: Worst Debut Album Ever
..
The Story:
Without a Face started as a 3 piece band in '04.By May of '05 it had become a 5 piece band.
Due to differences between the members about
how much we wanted to work, I split up
the band in October of '07. I'm still pretty much
on good terms with the ex-members.
I decided to carry on the band name because
I am scared to death of the singer/songwriter tag...
The Dream: To make a living off of music.

"...I was genuinely impressed with the band..."
- Sara Cress, The Houston Chronicle, March 19th, 2007
"As indie as US indie gets, Without a Face are very definitely
berthed right in the middle of that wide-reaching genre known as
'alternative rock'. Their music is complex, multi-layered and
very exciting indeed.
The gorgeous, absorbing 'Pigs' sounds like a fiery collision of
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and Muse, while the piano-laden, very
slightly funky 'Never Wake Up' could be the Cold War Kids, only better.
Lots better. On 'Love Or Die Kid', meanwhile the band put their own
skewed stamp on Hail To The Theif-era Radiohead...."
- Music Mart (British), P.54 of the May '07 issue
"..'Heavy Metal Chanlord' is this generations 'Welcome To The Jungle'.
It announces itself with a burst of grandiosity
the likes of which your ears have never heard.
You proceed to ingest this metal masterpiece
in the vain hope that your obviously overmatched ear drums
can somehow grasp the delectable intricacies it is suddenly faced with.
.....When I hear those angelic vocals ringing in my ear,
it makes me want to chug a Pabst Blue Ribbon and upon my finish
throw the empty can at someone's head!!...."
- DJ Conrad X, in a comment he left us on our space
"How many people out there are in need of some good music?
How many times have you asked yourself,
"What is the deal with all these BAD MTV clone-like, industry type bands?"
I would not listen to this type of music even if I was tied down in a chair
with speakers blaring this garbage in my ears!
Well friends, I have a solution to your woes.
The answer is a band hailing from Houston, TX : Without A Face....
They will be playing at Warehouse Live on June 5th,
so if your in the Houston area clear your schedule!
Keep an eye out on these boys, I foresee great things down the road.
For those about to rock, we salute you!"
- Tops In Texas Review, MAY 17, 2007
"...the vocalist is engaging enough to carry an acoustic show."
- Houston Press, October-ish, 2007
