Greetings friends & family, The Pleasure Palace has officially joined the 21st century. The Pleasure Palace is a private club located in Amsterdam ,N.Y. What began as an escape from reality in high school has morphed into a place where family and friends, friends of family, and family of friends gather throughout the long cold winter and listen to great music and hang out with cool people. For years Halfstep was the official house band playing legendary shows that lasted well into the am hours. Since then, the palace has hosted many fine bands including Somebody's Closet(our new house favorite:), Ryan Montbleau Band, Rev Tor Band, Banooba, Cliff Street, Slipknot, School Bus Yellow, Raisin Head, Skypocket, Turbine, Jeff Bujak Solo, Dave Lawson solo, The Kind Buds, Stir-Fried and many others. During setbreak you can normally enjoy spoken word by none other than Captain Mike Mcmongus or lately, in his absence, spoken word about Captain, by Dave Lawson. Sound is provided by Kind Sounds with all shows being recorded. Download previous shows at www.archive.org. Ryethreads is our official vendor, bring some cash to get some cool new threads...The Palace features a fully stocked bar, plenty of parking and and the cost is ALWAYS $15. We are a not for profit establishment with ALL door money going to the band. You are always welcome to bring your own beverages and a sleeping bag if you plan to crash, which we encourage you all to do. The Palace is a private club and you must have an invitation. Getting an invite is easy, just send me a message. Our season is Sept-March. Thank you to everyone for a great season. We are now booking for the 2009 season with many special events planned..
