"Just a brief warning before we begin; if you've not previously heard of Redbridge/Seven Kings quartet Sengoku Jidai, chances are you may well do so in the not too distant future. You see, despite it's disappointingly short run-time, the bands Onin EP packs in just enough meaty hooks and razor-sharp riffs to keep you wanting more. It's fast, rambunctious punk-rock mixed effortlessly with huge arena-sized choruses, and it's pretty damn good. Whether it's the stand-out 'Empty Promises' or the slightly more subdued - yet just as effective - 'Something Softer', there's more than enough in these three tracks to convince that the future is only going to get brighter for Sengoku Jidai."
