Social Benefits

About Me

Social Benefits is an independent pop band from Gothenburg. We have played together in this constellation since late 2006 in what turned out to be a creative combination of three very different individuals; Pär, Stefan and Ulrika.

We have recently released a few songs on our own, including the song "Combat with French waiters" that has been played occasionally on Swedish radio. We were described in Groove (most read music magazine in Sweden) as “a band with smart pop music, clever enough to avoid being dismissed as weird, delivering something unique that still has the ability of attracting a wide range of listeners.”

Strong melodies are essential to us, combined with lyrics that tries to find the rebel and desperation in people, hidden behind well polished fronts. Like in ourselves, perhaps..

We hope you like what you here, and please visit our site again; we update this page with new songs every now and then since we plan to realease much more during 2008.
