About Me

Welcome! This is the MySpace profile and blog for Amendment II Democrats . We are Democrats from the left, right, and center of our party who oppose the current paradigm of gun control. We are committed to securing our Second Amendment rights through grassroots activism and making our voices heard within the Democratic Party.
Daniel Barnett, founder and webmaster of Amendment II Democrats (shown on the left), says to be sure to check out the blog on MySpace as long as you're here. And please tell your pro-RKBA Democratic friends to visit our website as well.

Special thanks to Oleg Volk and Ofc. Leroy Pyle for some of the material on this site!
Leroy Pyle of the San Jose Police Department made this video back in 1989 in order to help defuse the "assault weapon" scare. Although this video is 18 years old, it is still timely today considering NY Rep. Carolyn McCarthy's attempt to raise the national semi-auto ban from the grave. Educate yourselves!

The next time Elizabeth Dole or any other anti-RKBA Republican else tells you that "You don't need an AK-47 to defend your family," show them this video from the Discovery Channel program TOP 10: Combat Rifles. If AK-style rifles can earn this sort of praise from military and firearms experts, keeping the semi-automatic versions of these guns out of the hands of law-abiding American citizens is just crazy!
AK-47 - "TOP 10: Combat Rifles"
This isn't a forum for showcasing Republican legislators, but in the case of Texas state representative Suzanna Gratia Hupp, who lost both of her parents during a shooting rampage in Killeen, TX in 1991, we're willing to make an exception. This is the side of the debate many gun-control activists do not want you to see.

If you honestly disagree with us about gun legislation, that's okay. But before you start proposing national legislation regarding guns you don't like, do your research first. How hard could it possibly be? Even I could answer the question that Tucker Carlson asks here, because I used to own a gun with this safety feature. Do your homework, legislators! Please, folks, I'm begging you!
Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (D-NY) - "What's a Barrel Shroud?"
And now for something a little more light-hearted - a song from one who enjoys a little harmless recreation involving guns:
Joe Bethancourt - "Me & My 30'06"

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Democrats, especially those who support the Second Amendment. Liberal, conservative, moderate, progressive - just as long as you support our party and what it stands for!

Your humble Webmaster wouldn't mind running into Valerie Plame Wilson, either - her husband claims she's an expert with an AK-47, so it would be a treat to head down to the gun range with Valerie and blast a ream of paper targets to smithereens. Dare to dream...
