About Me
Eleonore “Ele†Hansson was born to a Swedish mother and a North African father in 1983. She grew up in a single parent home and had to grow up fast. At the age of 8 she learned how to play violin, which helped develop her musical ear to later on express herself vocally and write songs by playing keys. She always used music as a form of expression and it later on became her therapy while going thru challenges in life such as more or less raising two brothers on her own at an early age and later on in life, the trials of loosing her loved one.Growing up listening to artists like Stevie Wonder, Whitney Houston, Youssou N Dour, Mary J.Blige and Erykah Badu, Ele found the inspiration to become an artist empowering women and inspiring others to pursue their dreams, like her idols inspired her. She started her career as a singer/songwriter in Stockholm, Sweden by singing in various bands, choirs and won several talent shows. She then worked as background singer for artist Ayo, Swing-Fly, Same- E (Medina) and Dee. To find maximum inspiration for her genre of music, Neo soul/r n b/jazz she moved to Los Angeles and attended Musicians Institute where she produced 4 of the tracks on her debut album “She, Her, Ele†on her own.In December 2007, Ele sang back up for Stevie Wonder during his annual christmas concert "House full of toys".
