Understudy have been gigging together for a year now, and play the sweeter streams of the indie river. Our mission is to wake up a sleepy Irish music scene and re-ignite it with both fast and powerful, and slow and rising songs. Our EP is entitled 'The Silent Approach' is can be heard here on Myspace and is available on CD at our gigs. Phantom FM's Icon show have made it Demo of the Week two weeks running in January 08.Holy fuck this needs updating... it's January 09 now as these keys get tapped. We worked our socks off in 2008 and there's not much left on our 'to do' list for the last 12 months. Personal hygiene has gone down but confidence has gone up, I guess that's a good sign for the music. We played Whelans 3 times last year and what a great place to play, somewhere to really feel good about it all. We also finished the year on the crest of a writing wave, with 3-4 new songs nearly finished. Also, we're delighted with what we think will be a crowd favourite in months and years to come in the guise of 'We Go Back', a song about more than one person going back. Oh yes. Songs are gonna stay upbeat, maybe get a little quicker but there'll be the odd itch to write a slow burner and keep the old flames new.
