Hi my name is Paul aka Jester. Jester has been my tag since the late 80's and still continues to appear on my artwork today. Back in the 80/90's while living in Halifax, West Yorkshire we introduced the art of graffiti to a small sleepy little town where we began to form various crews such as USA(respect to Cover, Scape and Rare), TFA(repect CRE8, Menace and Zoro) and continued legally as the Stain Devilz. We continued to rock the town while more and more crews started up to give us some serious competition on the walls. For a small town Halifax has some great artists and does continue to keep itself well and truly on the Graffiti map.As a young graffiti artist it always seemed important to tag my name everywhere to get noticed. After having regular visits from the British Transport Police I ended up on the wrong side of the law and in court. Paying my fines and serving my time made it was fairly clear that the only way to do my art was legally. The justice service does work!?As the Stain Devils(Jester & Creater) we continued to do legal art in youth clubs, night clubs, company signs, vans, schools anywhere we got an opportunity. We have done some seriously big productions over the years, one was for the stage show "West Side Story" which was at Salts Mill, Bingley. This production took nearly 1 week to complete and we did make it onto Look North(local News Channel) and into various local news papers. I have so much work to show you, all I need to do is get organised, scan them in and up on here.To give you an idea of what we can do there is below some artwork we did in the 1990's. Also featured are some brand new ones for 2007/2008. One is for Bazzmatazz(Oct 07) which is a brand new dance studio in Halifax, West Yorkshire. We have also recently done a 2 piece canvas, Funky(Dec 07) for a club night called funky4love which is bi-monthly at Pacha, London. It's always on display in the Global Room on the funky4love night.We would really like the opportunity to do some commissioned art and can do any surface.
