About Me

Hannes Buder (born 1978) is a german guitarist, composer and improviser. He studied guitar with Stefan Bormann at the Hochschule fÃ¼r Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden, and with Kalle Kalima in Berlin. Influenced by Jazz, Rock, Minimal Music and Contemporary Music, he has developed a unique and highly authentic style. He extends the borders of the instrument by using different tunings, effects and a virtouse two-hand tapping technique. Since 1998 he has been playing solo guitar concerts at different international locations and festivals, and he has recorded three solo guitar CDs. He plays with the bands "SCHULBUS", "Hannes&Pook" and "Ugly Beauty", collaborates with different international improvising musicians, and creates music for dance and film projects. Hannes currently lives in Berlin.
