BadFrench is Kiki Moorse and Andreas Reihse.
Kiki lives in Berlin, Andreas in Cologne.

Kiki Moorse, familiar as founding member of Chicks on Speed which formed 1997 in Munich, left the project after nine years, an own label, innumerable collaborations, more than twenty releases, a book, Karl Lagerfeld, Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and worlwide tours. Kiki has written the lyrics for C.O.S.'s first hit Glamour Girl as well as Coventry among others; she has designed and photographed numerous C.O.S. artworks (Kaltes Klares Wasser-sleeve, the Boob Monster, ...) and was the designer behind C.O.S.'s stage clothes and collections.
Kiki is the daughter of filmproducer Barbara Moorse (Brennende Langeweile – Bored Teenagers) and late film director George Moorse (Lenz, Der Findling, Kuckucksjahre, Lindenstrasse).
She grew up in Munich's film scene surrounded by Udo Kier, Vadim Glowna, Wolfgang Petersen, Rolf Zacher, Hans W. Geissendoerfer and Don Cherry, Edgar Froese and David Llywelyn - collaborateurs and guests in the family home in Schwabing. With 13 she hangs on Leopoldstrasse at Cafe Capri with Klaus Lemke and designs her first clothing line for Guenther Schmalor's Schwabing boutique.
With 15 she designs the costumes for the cult movie Der Fan.
Some years later, Kiki lives in Paris where she assists Vogue fashion editors. After two years she returns to Munich to become a fashion editor herself with Miss Vogue. During this time she travels between Paris, Munich, N.Y.C., London,Tokyo and L.A. .
Miss Vogue folds, she now works as free lance editor for German Elle, Harpers Bazaar, Cosmopolitan, does styling.
1997 she meets Melissa and Alex and they decide to work together on a mutual project.
Andreas Reihse, familiar as founding member of the band Kreidler – with 16 releases up until now. Kreidler have played more then 300 shows in Europe, North America and Asia. They have remixed e.g. Einstuerzende Neubauten, Depeche Mode, Faust and worked with Klaus Dinger (NEU!), Momus and... Chicks on Speed.
Andreas starts making music at an early age. His first project consists of recording tapes as Mutual with a school-friend. The first Einstuerzende Neubauten album cames as an revelation, one does not even have to know three chords – as to play punk! Or rather Andreas knows the chords but can gladly forget them now...
As a conscientious objector he has to do civil service and moves to Duesseldorf. He has heard a lot is going on there at the time (The Art Academy, Kraftwerk, The Ratinger Hof). Disappointed he ends spending his nights in Cologne (Rave Club, Soulful Shack, Spex-Parties).
He has to learn Duesseldorf is the perfect place to kick off own things, because there is no distraction. So he starts spinning at Academy parties and forms the C86-Band Smuel Goldberg. Stefan Schneider watches a show, is not impressed but needs a keyboard-player and Andreas becomes a member of Deux Baleines Blanches.
He studies audio-visual communication, wants to become a comicstrip-artist, is editor for the leftist paper Terz and founding member of Duesseldorf's Wohlfahrtsausschuss.
Early 1994 Deux Baleines Blanches ends and Kreidler forms. Later Andreas meets Klaus Dinger and la!NEU? is founded.
Andreas moves to Cologne and makes club music as April, composes for film, artists and theater. He is resident DJ at Sixpack since 10 years and writes regularly for Alert, Spex, Intro, Zoo, Purple Prose ... as the phone rings:
The time is up, Kiki lives in Berlin and wants to start a new project, Andreas lives in Cologne and Kreidler is taking a baby-break. Kiki knows French and how to sing it, Andreas can read music and knows 3 chords. BadFrench. With a little help of 2 laptops and the internet – Kiki sings and speaks into a microphone in Berlin, megabytes travel the air. Two days later Andreas sends music back. BadFrench. A meeting in a Cologne studio. BadFrench.Vive la vie!!!
