About Me

Myspace Graphics
Myspace LayoutsOriginally from sunny Eastbourne and now living in grey old London the story of Ellie's music began a long time ago!......I wrote my 1st song at about the age of 7. It took about 5 hours for me to write, unfortunately for my poor family this was the 5 hour car journey to our nice little relaxing family holiday to Cornwall. So after 5 hours and about 12 verses of 'My Various Plants, can't walk can't sing can't do anything,' my parents wished I would never open my mouth again let alone sing another untuneful verse about various shrubbery's. Still they let me continue let me learn to play dad's guitar and Grandad's piano and sing and dance like a twat for most of my un-embarrased childhood. Encouraging me to write and follow my unfruitful musical ambitions as I grew into an embarrased teenager who cared about what everybody thought and 'My Various Plants' were a distant childish memory. From this moment on, I chose not to write about all things green I chose instead to write about things that I knew to be true. Not actually so much a choice, more a need to write something and not being able to write about anything else, there is certainly no poetic genius lurking inside. I write about feelings, about love, heartbreak, about those arse holes that insist on entering our lives on a regular, sometimes daily basis. There's also the occasional happy song about a nice person. Actually I think there's one.So here I am.......................
