I’m a Christian who has a passion for sharing about the change that God has brought in my life.I used to live life for myself, thinking I was a Christian because I went to church, without a second thought as to how I looked in God’s eyes. That was, until someone explained to me what God’s standard was for me. I looked at myself in the mirror of God’s Ten Commandments and realized that I was guilty of breaking His law. I realized that I was a liar and a thief, and that God saw my hatred as murder. When I understood that God was a God of perfect Justice and that by His very nature, He must punish liars, and thieves, and murderers, I was convinced that I would stand guilty before Him on Judgment Day. I knew that my guilt condemned me to an eternity in Hell.Then I learned of what God, in an extreme expression of His love for me, did so that I wouldn’t have to go to Hell. 2000 years ago, God came down in the form of the man Jesus and took my punishment upon Himself. He paid the price for my sin. I learned that if I would turn from my sin and trust in that sacrifice as I would trust in a parachute that I would be forgiven of my sin and would go to Heaven to live with God forever. I fell on my knees before a Holy God and asked Him to forgive me of my sin. I turned from my sin and I have been following Him ever since.My challenge to you would be that you would ask yourself those same questions, be honest and listen to your conscience: Have you ever lied, stolen, lusted? If you have, and you realize that you are guilty of breaking God’s law, I would encourage you to turn from your sin and put your trust in Christ. Pray and ask God to forgive you and to make you into the person He wants you to be. Then I would encourage you to get a Bible and read it and obey what it says… And tell someone. This is news that all people need to hear.“And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people.
