..3NP Productions was created in 1999 on the south side of Chicago by D EaZy. The production is an off-shoot of Smooth Flow Productions, Inc. headed EaZy's mentor and teacher, Smoove. EaZy started his musical foundation at the age of 9 when he played trumpet for his grade school band until he was 13. Here he learned the intricate concepts of melodies and chords and also how to read sheet music. By 1999, EaZy was 14 and in high school, and Da Villain Camp (formerly known as D.S.G.)was founded by T-Fly therefore the group needed a producer. While the group searched for someone who could complement their style on the production side, they soon realized they needed not look any further than within the group members themselves. Having been exposed to professional music production, recording, and performing at such an early age by his uncles Reggie and Vincent Calloway, EaZy took it upon himself to be the group's main producer and thus the creation of 3NP Productions, Inc. When asked what series of events pushed him to become a producer, EaZy responded, "Shit, it all started in the genes off jump. Both sides of my family are so deeply involved in music it was like it was inevitable. My father has been playing drums for over 30 years and my mother has been playing piano for over 30 years. As far as being the main producer for Da Villain Camp, when the group was still young, like in '01 or '02, we just got tired of depending on people for beats, and studio time, etc... that we said 'Fuck it we gonna cover all angles ourselves and build us a empire from the ground up.' When we said that we made it happen. We got our own studio, 3NP Studios, right here on the north side and plus I engineer and mix too. So it's like we don't need nobody but us. Everybody we fuck wit has a purpose or a benefit to Da Villain Camp as a whole. So whoever hit us up on some collaborating shit knows off jump that they gotta bring something to the table that we don't have or something thats improving on what we already do have."
