About Me

Born in Denver, grew up in California, San Francisco then LA, school in San Diego, then to Manhattan 16 years, now in a small town outside Atlanta. Serious culture shock! Rednecks, Trailer Parks, Grits, Pickup Trucks, Biscuits and Gravy, Dukes of Hazard reruns, and more Rednecks. I spent most of my professional life, so far, managing stores for one of the largest and well known music companies in the world. Great fun, glamour, stars, lots of really cool free stuff! Sadly they recently shut their doors - a very sad day. On to a different chapter in life...
I'm starting this chapter off Clean and Sober, thank God! Life now is centered around Narcotics Anonymous meetings, 12 Steps, and all things Recovery. Working 2 jobs to pay the bills, wondering what I want to be when I grow up. I have a weakness for Vanilla Ice Cream, Peperidge Farm Milano Cookies (double chocolate is best), anything with White Chocolate. I like Pepsi which is hard when you live in the home of Coca Cola, and I'm longing for a good fresh bagle with tons of cream cheese. Also a movie nut after 15 years in the video business.

Thoughts on the South

Someone once noted that a Southerner can get away with the most awful kind of insult just as long as it's prefaced with the words, "Bless her heart" or "Bless his heart." As in, "Bless his heart...

For all my homies back in NYC

YOU KNOW YOU'RE A NEW YORKER WHEN: You're 35 years old and don't have a driver's license. You ride in a subway car with no air conditioning just because there are seats available. You and the o...
