About Me

What up ya'll this is the J.P.D. The JPD stands Jeune Pauvre et Destine (French), which translates to young, poor, and destined. The name JPD comes from my government name, and is a way for me to represent my Haitian pride. I currnetly reside in Freeport Long Island (Port Knox, stockin the NFL draft for the next millenium and beyond, ask about us). I started messin with rap my freshman year of college at Binghamton University. Lemme give quick shouts out to my mans Phife and Kway Floss. My man Phife was holdin down the scene out there spittin fire. I always respected how he could get heads to feel his flows while touching on real issues like injustice and poverty. Homie was a big influence on my angle, and flow for real. Kway Floss is just a real, stand up dude, and an ill artist. Keep and ear out for him. To both ya'll cats, holla any time. While reppin Binghamton lemme shout out Nervous Breakdown Crew (NBC). Ya'll are hands down some great people, aint no other way to slice it. Memories forever. In terms of my goal musically, I write to bring reality the game has been missing, shed light on my homeland of Haiti, and give ya'll something to vibe to. Music only hits me if its real, thats why the rap game of late has been on a respirator in my eyes. Shouts out to cats like Nas, Jay, Tupac, Luda, Big Pun, T.I., Outkast, Common, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Dead Prez (Lets Get Free! = CRACK), Kanye, Lupe Fiasco, Ras Kass (Soul on Ice= Entire crack epidemic),Buckshot, the Clipse, Styles P, Wu Tang, Big L, Jada, Saigon, and Papoose for stayin true and makin timeless music that won't die out as a fad. To those feelin what I got so far, strap in tight; I'm tryin to take heads on a journey.I edited my profile at Freeweblayouts.net , check out these Myspace Layouts!

Shouts out to my main man Juan AKA Alcatraz. Without him a lot of the recordings on my page would'nt be possible (Never think I don't appreciate the studio time homie). Shouts out to the Port Knox conglomerate: J-Higgs, P-Holla, Rez Omega (Peep his work on Make ya Bread)[myspace.com/rez420], Cool Cat, and Bojangles (SONZ OF LIBERTY WHAT UP!!). Check my man Bojangles (myspace.com/pauljuers) verse on Studio 54, well worth it.
Influences: My mom and pops for making me who I am (Will you ever know how much I love you?) (Ben, Mike and Pat what up! Blood is thicker than concrete). My cousin Alex for making me realize that life is not promised and we need to make the most of our gifts while we can grasp them. ALEX I LOVE YOU. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE (The boxing footage is of him fighting in the Golden Gloves). JUST IN CASE U WERE WONDERING, THE SOUND BITES FROM "ITS NOT EASY" ARE FROM ONE OF MY LATE COUSIN ALEX'S HEROES, TIGHT EYES. TIGHT EYES IS KNOWN TO MANY AS THE ORIGINATOR OF THE KRUMP MOVEMENT (U SEEN CHRIS BROWN ROCKIN THE STEEZ). GET SOME KNOWLEDGE ON THE KRUMP SCENE, YOU WONT REGRET IT. Nas, B.I.G, The whole Wu Tang (36 chambers= FIRE!), Black Thought, Mos Def, Eminem, 2pac, Big L. Any ill producers that got my mind open: Primo, Alchemist, Kanye, Madlib, 9th Wonder, Just Blaze, The Neptunes, Knotz, Doctor Dre, JDilla. Alexander Day
