About Me

I've been into music all my life . . . I've been playing some sort of instrument since I was about 9 years old. I first went through a few years of cello, and clarinet. Then when I was a little older I began playing piano, and continued playing for 4 years, until I trailed off to occassionally playing (which is where I'm at now). But, by that time I had become tired of music with classical roots, and went straight for a Hartke electric bass. I had fun being in about 2 or 3 bands over the course of two years until I finally picked up an Electric Guitar during the summer when I was 14.I've have been playing electric for over a year and have taught myself EVERYTHING I know. I began developing a softer sound shortly after I started playing. I began writing my own music back around late November of '06, and I can say I haven't stopped since.I picked up my acoustic awhile ago, and it has been a wonderful addition to my collection of instruments. It has also greatly improved my playing and has allowed me to branch out with new and more inventive genres.Music is MY LIFE. It's what I love to do. And I've already decided I'm going to make a career out of Live Music Performance. Music influences EVERYTHING I do!!!Well, that's (short) story! If you live around Chagrin Falls and you'd maybe be looking for someone to play with give me a call; 440-665-7665.I'm hoping to have a Demo out somtime during '08, probably right before summer. It's going to be a solo album, with a few collaborations with another great musician who's been one of my greatest friends, music and life related. So keep an eye out for more updates on it!Jayson (Jay-J)
