Un projet nommé Electrophazz ? Certains parlent d’une musique oscillant entre groove et jazz moderne, d’autres n’hésitent pas à parler d’éléctro. Il s’agit bien d’une création hybride que l’on peut étiqueter comme éléctro jazz & groove. A mi chemin entre Roy Hargrove, Daft Punk et Erik Truffaz, les cinq musiciens expriment un jazz plus que jamais imprévisible, jeune et sincère.
A l’origine du groupe Yann Phayphet, Rémy Saminadin et Antoine Viallefont férus de musique électronique mais aussi passionnés de jazz rencontrent lors d’une jam David Marion, pianiste et compositeur du groupe.
En 1 an le groupe a su développer un répertoire et composer des morceaux originaux qui leur ont permis d’enchainer les concerts et de préparer un album autoproduit ( Made in phazz-Trip1- sortie le 23 septembre 2008 ). Souvent entouré par d’autres musiciens (percussionniste, chanteuse, saxophoniste…) chaque concert d’Electrophazz devient un moment unique, un grand bonheur musical.
Cette année, la venue de Jean-Alain Boissy amène une nouvelle dynamique au groupe et cela toujours sur les traces du Groove...

A project named Electrophazz? Some people talk about a kind of music that goes from groove to modern jazz, others just talk about electronic music but here, we are talking about a crossed-bred creation that can definitely be labeled as groovy electronic jazz.
In Electrophazz, five musicians express themselves through a young, genuine and unpredicta-ble kind of jazz that stands halfway between Roy Hargrove, Daft Punk and Eric Truffaz’s styles.
Yann Phayphet, Rémy Saminadin and Antoine Viallefont - the three electronic music fans who originated the band – met the now pianist and composer of the band - David Marion - during a jam session.
In one year, the band managed to create its own repertoire and composed original tracks that have enabled them to go from concert to concert and prepare a self-produced album (Made in Phazz – Trip 1, released September 23, 2008). As Electrophazz likes being surrounded by other musicians (drummers, singers, saxophonists…), each of the band’s concert becomes a unique moment of musical chills.
This year’s coming of Jean-Alain Boissy has brought a fresh new energy to the band that keeps walking in the footsteps of Groove…
