About Me
Half breed Irish Catholic/ Hungarian Jew - Guilt and shame are my guiding paradigms. Born and reared in Savannah, GA - Went to college at "Freak's Paradise", AKA Bard College - learned man's true nature in the greatest city in the world - NYC, and now live where everything is green, wet, soft and squishy - including the inhabitants - Seattle, WA. Background in politics, international relations, and generally caring about the world and how we sit astride it - I have a hedonistic streak a mile wide, and wouldn't you know it, hedonism won! So now, instead of working for the government, a think-tank, journal, non-profit, university or any other place that I might "leave my mark", I help poor, cash-strapped grape farmers the world over sell their fruit as delicious, nutritious wine. Oh yeah, I can cook pretty good - culinary school degree - play a mean set of drums, and love to go hiking, traveling to new and exotic destinations, discovering great restaurants, all types and genres of music, intense borderline-fisticuff conversations, discovering wonderful new beers, smoking my own meats in the yard, road tripping with Jenn, and perpetually defending the fact that even though I have no detectable accent, yes, I am a Southerner!
