About Me

Hi There - Thanks for finding my site. I am a former drummer who now plays guitar and sings (now all the jokes apply!). I reside in Tasmania and play solo in the local pubs, private functions, etc. I record all solo material at home and have a couple of videos so check them out on this site if you so desire! Please feel free to contact me or leave comments.Recently I've had a few people ask who I've played with so here goes. I started playing in pubs in Tas when I was sixteen - my first band was Mistral Wind - all original except for one Fleetwood Mac song. Next I played in a pub band doing originals and covers with Paul McKercher (now of ARIA fame) and Neil Lewis. That band was called Empty Talk and I was the singing drummer. From there I joined Forecast - a great original rock band. Then I joined the Colours - Tassie's premier rock band - I was part of the second line-up which started the Wheatsheaf as a venue - now closed and turned into a car yard thanks to whinging local residents. Then I moved interstate and toured from Perth to Darwin with Tassie mates in Blow by Blow - a covers band. Played New Years Eve at the Vic Tavern in Darwin supporting Stevie Wright. Little did I know that quite a few years later I would be playing drums with him on his last tour. Finally made it to Sydney - worked in local Leagues clubs and got lucky. I ran a venue and employed Phil Emmanuel, Mal Eastick, Brad Johns and many other bands. I played in a band with some lawyer friends called 'Wounded Not Dead' for many years - we recorded a CD (doesn't everyone) and played some good gigs at The Strawberry Hills Hotel and Rose of Australia in Erko. Eventually, the wheels fell off my cart and I returned to Hobart. I had major hearing problems (bloody drums) and decided that I couldn't give up music so I turned to the dark side (guitar!). I really enjoy my gigs now and also play in a band with Brenton Bayly (BJ) -(another seasoned veteran) and Luke Christie. Music still doesn't pay the bills so like most of us I still have to work for a living (Bummer!).
