Terrorfolk is an initiative by several Dutch folk-influenced bands to take folk back to where it belongs, in a new, loud and obnoxious jacket. Not afraid to drag folk music into the 21st century by the scruff of its neck, away from middle aged, middle class laziness and back to the people who like it loud, fast and dirty.
Scary looking men and women, probably covered in blood that is not their own, coming at you with a bunch of fiddles, bagpipes and other assorted folk instruments - and this time they've got heavy artillery backup. And often still singing about drinking, fighting and sex...
