MAYNOL

The musician born in Washington DC on August 25, 1975. His music career began as a teenager in the late 80s while studying in Bucklodge middle school. There he got possession of his first drum sticks. In 1994 Maynol’s passion for drumming brought him to attend the Drummer’s Collective School of Music in New York City. There his talent grew as he learned a varity of different techniques and styles of drumming. Once back home Maynol began working in the Washington Music Center were he met a number of musicians which led to him joining rock bands like Ring and Industry Overflow earning him experience playing out in the local DC music scene.In 1996 Maynol’s drumming style landed him a spot with the Latin rock band Eclipse. The “Grito the Paz” tour took the band through South and Central America, It was an eye opening experience for Maynol. Touring countries like Peru, El Salvador and Dominican Republic Maynol found his happiness on the road.After the tour Maynol freelance with a variety of bands playing from punk to gospel. After 21 years of drumming Maynol decided to pick up another instrument the guitar. The months that followed, everywhere his guitar kept him company. Soon after Maynol began to compose his own music. With influences like The Beatles, U2, INXS, Marvin Gaye and Cold Play, he began to shape his melancholy rock sound. The dark, sexy melodies of lost love inspired by his past brought him to his self titled debate album “Maynol”.“Before you know where your going, You have to know who you are”
