About Me

Now Transmission broke onto Maines alternative rock scene in 2003 with the release of their first album, Enjoy the Pause. The band has produced two subsequent releases, Taking Back the Unsaid (2005) and Down the Middle (2006). Since its inception, N T has been playing live shows at rock clubs, colleges and other venues in Maine and throughout New England. Their fan base continues to grow and their music continues to evolve.The creative thrust of this band is unstoppable. Now Transmissions latest effort, Down the Middle, leaves no doubt in the minds of listeners that this band has arrived. From the shuddering and thunderous grooves of their radio-single Shes Not There, to the hooking, soulful melodies of Room 43, Down the Middle satiates the sonic senses.Eric Frye, vocalist for Now Transmission, views writing music as his outlet. Its a way to share whats floating inside my head. I think my lyrics deal with many issues that people can relate to.NTs guitarist, Ray Labbe feels that the songs he writes are an extension of his life; they represent his experience in a given moment of time. For me, these songs portray the array of emotions that occur during lifes struggles. Over the past year and a half the band has gone through a few lineup changesthe three of us graduated from collegetrying to handle the real world is not as easy as it may seem. I feel the songs on Down the Middle are a little more painful and emotional than other songs we have written.Drummer, Andy Desmaris describes the new EP with the flair of a true rhythm-maker, This music has the feel of a punchy roller-coaster.it will have you jumping out of your seat!
