About Me

Not long after arriving in London in 2000 I became involved with the psy, progressive, techno and experimental ambient scenes and was introduced to electronic music as a way of giving another dimension to my creative writing. I spent from 2002-2004 djing in London clubs and collaborating on experimental electronic projects, using my poetry, spoken word and singing - this was primarily with In.r.voice/ Karmahacker and included live performances at St Cyprian’s Church and Elements. From 2003-2005 I took my hand to composing electronic music and under the name 'Anomi' I completed an album Little Rituals (2004) which is a mixture of dance tracks, experimental electronica and vocals - most of these have a dark, moody flavour. During this time, I also wrote lyrics and sung for a number of electronic artists, ranging in style from hip hop to house to d&b to trance - collaborations and vocal features include Grey Area, Jay Tubsman, Mr Jaez, Nimbus Formation and Basement Jaxx. I am now at work at a series of new tracks and collaborations. Leaning towards the abstract and the ethereal, when making music I aim to source my subconscious and trust the process of creation in its ability to reveal. If you want to get in touch to say hi or suggest collaborations, I would love to hear from you. Naomi
