K.J.Dallaway & Friends

Layout by CoolChaserK.J.Dallaway was born in Port of Spain on the Island of Trinidad and Tobago. He grew up with a family of seven. He was convinced he had to play the trumpet the first time he heard it. He lived seven years on the Island of Barbados, where he toured with the Blue Rhythm Combo. The band also toured across the USA and Canada. In the early 80s he moved to Germany where he played with bands like Raven, Riddim Posse, Dazz Force or Caribbean Rhapsody. Being influenced by artists like Miles Davis, Freddie Hubbard or Bob Marley, he released his Solo-CD “Memories” in 1997, collaborating with producer and keyboard-player Vernon D. Hill from Detroit, somehow creating a new musical style called Caribbean Jazz. In 2000 formed his own band - K.J.Dallaway & Friends. The band performed steadily and released the Live-CD “Live at Billy Blues” in 2003 and played on various Jazz-Festivals throughout Germany.
