RAKOTO, a Malagasy artist, born in Antananarivo, composes and
sings his own songs. Deeply rooted in his culture and open to others,
he left Madagascar at the age of 18, and flew to Europe where
he'll developp his music, mixing all these influencies.People say that Madagascar could be the 6th continent,
for one can find the print of the five others regarding
its population, added to this the very malagasy peculiarity.
The « Big Island », called « the land of the Ancestors » is
characterized by the respect towards the human beings ;
Mainly sung in Malagasy, mixed with French, Spanish or English,
they tell the stories of the people, often the forgotten ones .
he gives a real look of this world, may be because he comes
from a country where the stories of the whole world have crossed.RAKOTO stands as a witness using his guitar and songs as mediators,
because his country is economically and socially suffering.
He's aware of the events that grieve the world.
