After rapping for a couple of years on and off Nugget made his first serious attempt at recording tracks in late 2006. He has spent the last 3 years recording as many tracks as possible all the while improving his sound and promoting his music to anyone willing to listen. Along the way hes played gig in various venues including The Village, Eamonn Dorans, Smithfield and even Medina, Edinburgh. He has had his tracks played on various radio stations including Spin 103.8 and Radio Na Life and appeared live on Power FM and New Yorks WFMU with Billy Jam. In Early 2008 Nugget started to record tracks in the Dreadroom with the help and production knowledge of Dave Dread. It was here he recorded the majority of his debut mixtape "The Nugget That Ya Love To Hate" the remainder being recorded in The Smoke Room by Terawrizt who mixed and mastered the project. The cd was mix of 19 tracks featuring serious deep songs, light hearted tunes and some raw battle ready bragging tracks. It included features from Class A'Z, Lethal Dialect, Rob Steenson, Dave Dread and Diligenz and production from Sleepy, Piercy Rawsoul, Lemonface, Folo and Maverick Sabre. Prior to the mixtapes January release Nugget put out the download single "Loser". One of the more catchy songs on the cd it's pretty much an anthem for bums and scroungers. It reached number 2 on the Irish download Charts. Following these two releases Nugget took a bit of a break from music only recording the occasional collab and playing a small few gigs. However coming towards the end of 2009 he's back recording new tracks for his next project, a more serious release which should be finished quite soon. He also recorded a collab for MCT productions album which is coming soon. The track featuring Terawrizt, Jee4ce and Mr Mc Kenzie features production from legendary hiphop producer Domingo so look out for it.
